Julian — Mountain Gold Rush Town

60 miles northeast. Famous for apple pie, cider, and fall foliage. Visit Julian Pie Company, walk the historic Main Street, and hike Volcan Mountain. Best in autumn but charming year-round.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park

90 miles east. California's largest state park. Wildflower season (February-March) is spectacular. Slot canyon hikes, Borrego Springs sculptures, and dark sky stargazing.

Temecula Wine Country

60 miles north. 40+ wineries in rolling hills. Old Town Temecula has great restaurants and antique shops. Hot air balloon rides at sunrise are a bucket-list experience.

Tijuana, Mexico

20 minutes south. Walk or trolley across the border. Avenida Revolución for shopping, Telefónica Gastro Park for street food, and the booming craft beer and food scene in Zona Río.
